Founded in 1997 by Edward James Olmos and his co-founders, LALIFF has been instrumental in discovering emerging Latino talent. It has premiered first films by notable directors like Guillermo del Toro and Alfonso Cuaron and actors like Gina Rodriguez and America Ferrera. The festival has also honored industry icons with the Gabriel Figueroa Lifetime Achievement Award and has established the Youth Cinema Project, fostering film education in public schools.

We were welcomed and first taken to the press room lounge, where we were treated to delicious drinks, coffee, and snacks in the VIP room. After exchanging a few words with some important guests, we went to the Roosevelt Hotel for a networking event at the Industry Cocktail, which was also very pleasant. The details curated by the LALIFF organization are truly precious and enrich an already significant program of screenings and guests.

The atmosphere is very lively, the staff is very courteous, and Latin culture is felt everywhere. Here are some photos we took of the most charming and important moments, for example, the screening of "Say a Little Prayer," one of the films scheduled for the evening. At the same time, the festival also creates other simultaneous screenings at Regal Los Angeles, another important opportunity for this spectacular 23rd edition of the Latino International Film Festival.
